Testing on OPLegends is an important opportunity for our Approved Testers to participate in the development and quality assurance of the OPLegends network. As such, we have a few guidelines that we expect all testers to abide by, in order to maintain a fair environment and ensure the highest quality of our Network.
In order to provide the most effective testing environment, we expect that all testing activities remain confidential and restricted to members within the testing group. You must ask ownership directly for permission to share outside of this group (ping Matt or income in the testing Discord channel to ask for approval).
We understand that you may wish to share with your friends, but we insist that you maintain the integrity to keep things here confidential as it allows us to test the most effectively.
In order to make sure that we are receiving the best possible feedback, we ask you to be as transparent as possible about concerns, problems, bugs, and opinions.
You should never feel obligated to mince words or hide your true opinion, as this is why we have this group to begin with, but make sure to keep your activity free of personal attacks.
Additionally, if you become aware of any evidence or belief that a testing member may be violating these principles, please immediately DM Matt or income with the information you have. We can only have confidentiality and fairness through being transparent with problems as they arise.
In order to make sure that our release cycle is as effective as possible, we rely on this group to provide feedback and QA promptly. If you are not interested in or unable to participate in this group or remain active, whether short-term or longer, you should DM Matt or income to discuss this.
The purpose of this group is to make our gamemodes as enjoyable, fair, and consistent as possible. To that end, it is NEVER ACCEPTABLE TO USE THIS GROUP TO DISCOVER GAMEPLAY ADVANTAGES. If you find an advantage, or economy meta, you are encouraged to discuss it in the private testing channel. Finding a meta, advantage, or strategy and failing to disclose it in this group may lead to punishments as outlined below.
The punishments for violating these standards are applied by ownership discretion. They include but are not limited to: (1) Temporary or permanent removal from the testing group. (2) A week-long, multi-week, season-long, or multi-season competitive penalty or disqualification, which affects your entire team and any people who may be involved in the violation of the punishment (e.g: telling someone else a meta discovered through this group but not reported within this group, even if they are not on your team or you are not playing competitively, could lead to that person and their team being permanently disqualified as well as you). (3) Temporary or permanent bans or blacklists, depending on severity.
Our management team reserves the right to remove people from testing or apply any of these punishments at our own discretion. Maintaining a transparent, fair, and effective testing group is our top priority to ensure that our new releases are polished, bug-free, and enjoyable.
