Hey everyone, the newest season of Prison Neptune is finally here!
With this release, we are focusing on improving gameplay with a better economy, new enchants, and improvements to Gem Armor, Gangs, and Trophies.

Wow, the new map looks cool, right? Now, for an overview of some of the changes we are bringing to Map 3. These are just the highlights; a full changelog is available at the bottom for any technical players.
New Pickaxe Enchants
With this reset, we are introducing over 6 new pickaxe enchants as well as a new prestige enchant! Our main focus with these new enchants are to provide new things for you to keep working on. In addition to adding new enchants, we are also increasing the max level of many of our enchants. Together, we hope these changes make it so you always have something to work towards.
The new enchants we're introducing include:
- Nuke: Have a very small chance to blow up the entire mine
- Mine Bomb: Shoot a bomb with your pickaxe!
- Pouch Finder: Randomly find pouches (orb,money,exp) while mining!
- Lucky: Now, when you level up Lucky, you increase a chance of finding keys while mining!
- and a few other surprise enchants for you to discover on release...
Our primary focus this time around is making a Prison server which feels right to play. The most important part of that is making sure that the economy feels right. We have completely redone all rank prices, prestige prices, sell prices, and enchant costs. This should contribute to a fun, fast-paced feel which is still a grind.
Rebirths are removed by popular request.We have heard many complaints over last season's economy, which was aptly described by many players as a "rebirth, key, and trophy eco". We have taken all of this feedback into consideration. Rebirths are gone. Instead....
Backpacks are removedWe have switched back to how we had mining on map 1: instead of having backpacks and having to manually sell when your inventory is full, everything is automatically sold. Everything is sold instantly: blocks will never touch your inventory in the first place!
The main reason for doing this is to allow your precious inventory slots to be used for more important/rare items: Mine Keys, Gems, and Beacons.
Ranks A-Z, or "rankup gameplay" is a fun and fast-paced way to start the game.It's now a blast to play through ranks A-Z. According to our playtesters, they have said things like the following:
- "It feels like Prison now"
- "This rank gameplay is fast-paced and fun"
- "I like how it's easy to get started and get my pickaxe leveled up quickly at first"
There are now over 30,000 prestiges.Rebirths were never intended to be a permanent feature. As such, they have been removed.
As a part of expanding gameplay and completely redoing our economy, we are increasing the maximum prestige cap from 2,000 to 30,000 initially. When people reach 30,000 prestiges, we may increase the cap even further.
Instead of getting a prestige key every prestige, you now get one every 500 prestiges.
We are also adding prestige mines at prestiges 3k, 4k, 5k, 6k, 7k, 8k, 9k, 10k, 15k, 20k, 25k, and 30k.
Mine keys are now given as physical vouchers.These vouchers can be shift-clicked to be redeemed to your virtual crates balance. The shift to vouchers is so these items can be marketable: if you don't want to spend time opening keys, just sell them for money at someone else's plot and let them do it!
Overhauled Gem Armor
With a positive response to the new Gem Armor we introduced last map, we have decided to improve on it and bring some cool changes.
Primarily, Gem Armor is now progression-based. When you start out, you will only be able to find the lowest tier of gems while mining. Once you reach mining milestones (e.g 500,000 blocks), you will unlock the power to find the next gem while mining! You can still find the previous tier of gems, though, so it will still be easy to obtain them all when you are fully maxed out. There are now 4 tiers of gem armor:
- Jade: Smaller orb boost
- Ruby: Smaller money boost
- Lemonite: Larger orb boost
- Topaz: Larger money boost
Gangs and Trophies
Last season, we introduced Trophies: a never-before-seen way of handling the competitive aspects of Prisons. The concept was to provide a resetting way of tracking the top players so everyone has a shot to catch up the next week. This was promising, but we have come up with a much better way of doing it.
This season, we are reimagining the concept: You have a beacon vault just like before, but instead of buying trophies and placing them on your plot, you instead purchase them and they are added to a virtual balance which belongs to your GANG.
Why gangs instead of plots, you may ask? Well, quite simply, this makes it easier to group up with friends. You can each still build on your own plot or contribute to a team plot just like before, but you can also do that independently of gang competition. We think this will be an awesome way to improve this concept.
Trophies will still reset each week just like before, but now they're just easier to obtain. No more spending hours placing them on your plot when you can have them be virtual!
GKitsWe are also introducing new GKits! Each of these will have its own unique advantage with custom items.
RobotsWe are also adding Robots to prison! These cool mechanical helpers can be placed down on your plot. When you are online, they will mine orbs for you! It is also possible to spend your currencies to upgrade them so that they mine better and faster.
